Lansallos Beach – Weekend of 02/09/2017
02/09/2017 @ 09:00 - 03/09/2017 @ 12:00Free
Lansallos Beach Dive for Debris, Beach Clean, BBQ & Camping
Where it all started for Fathoms Free. Lansallos is a very pretty shore dive site, unfortunately, the right-hand side though, due to currents it gets full of plastic debris. Normally access is an issue for diving, with a 3/4-mile hike across the countryside. However, the National Trust will transport our dive gear across the fields using a 4×4. The plan is to do 2 dives and a beach clean at Lansallos Beach Saturday, then a BBQ, followed by camping on an idyllic (albeit basic) National Trust campsite (for those who want to stay over). This is a free event, just bring some food to throw on the BBQ and your own refreshments.
We meet at the National Trust Lansallos car park postcode: PL13 2PX.
We aim to do 2 dives during the Saturday at Lansallos Beach
Meet at 9am in the car park.
Non-diving volunteers to help on the shore with cataloguing, BBQ, beach clean and organising would be much appreciated
