Founder of Fathoms Free
Being a conservationist is a way of life that embodies your actions. As such, it was a natural progression for me to integrate it with my passion for diving. I am convinced that the marine debris crisis can be resolved by a change in industrial practices and legislation. Also, that carrying around the frustrations of global problems, is futile if we are unwilling to do what we can as individuals.
Realistically, no industry or governing body will take it upon themselves to alter, if it serves them little purpose to do so. However, by working together to raise awareness, individuals do influence change. The purpose in creating Fathoms Free, was not only to take a proactive approach in conservation. But to add our voices to the current global front of marine conservationists campaigning for the same goals.
